Join the Movement

A funny thing happens when you start to get active. You actually like it! And who can blame you? Getting active changes your life. You’ll feel more energetic, less stressed, sleep better and feel more relaxed, have stronger muscles and bones, improved fitness, better posture and balance, improved self esteem, healthy body weights, better health and more independence in later life.

There are many easy, safe and fun ways to make physical activity part of your daily life. Taking the stairs, raking leaves, and walking the dog are all examples of easy ways to be active. Aim for moderate physical activity at least 5 days a week, 30 minutes each day.

We’re asking you to Join the Movement of physical activity for better health. If you’re a parent, a teacher, a health care provider, an employer, community leader or a friend - become a leader. The Movement begins today and it begins with you!
