What's NewActive Health Kids Canada 2010 Report CardApril 27, 2010
Again this year, the Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth assigned an F for screen time. The report card points out that 90% of Canadian kids start watching TV before their second birthday, despite the fact that experts recommend zero screen time for kids under two. For the fourth year in a row, Active Healthy Kids Canada also assigned an F for physical activity levels among children and youth. This is based on the fact that only 12% of kids meet minimum guidelines for physical activity. Saskatchewan in motion is not OK with that. Are you? Find out how you can make a big difference by making just one small change. Download a copy of the report card. Read Saskatchewan in motion's response to the report card. |
