Feature story
Bell’s Point School is in motion on school days and after school too!
Bell’s Point Elementary School in La Ronge has around 250 students from Kindergarten to Grade 4. Although the school doesn’t have a physical education teacher, the students are in motion thanks to the efforts of the classroom teachers and Miranda Ratt, the Community and School Recreation Coordinator.
Who’s your action hero?
Is there someone in your school who’s going above and beyond to make physical activity the easy choice? Maybe it’s a janitor making sure the school’s sidewalks are clear so students can walk safely, a teacher staying after hours to organize and supervise intramurals, or a principal creating new policies that support physical activity.
